So, you’re a Council Officer & you’d like to see TLTP happening in your city…

AWESOME!  We’re here to help!

Here’s what you can do:

Talk to your Manager, Director or CEO about inviting us to present at an upcoming briefing session.

We recommend that the following officers are present at that briefing session: Executive + Managers: Parks & Open Space, Urban Design, Statutory Planning & Community Development.

We can tell you about the work we’ve done with Councils in the past and what we can do for you.

If talking to your superiors yields no results, why not talk to a Councillor about TLTP. They can raise a Notice Of Motion to invite us to give your Council and Executive a presentation on TLTP. Download our NOM template here:
If you like what we do, you could suggest Councillors raise a Notice of Motion to have us facilitate a workshop for your community?

Things that can help:

Council Plan – having community-led placemaking mentioned in your council plan will help to justify the need for Council to facilitate these kinds of activities. If it’s not in there now, encourage your Managers and Councillors to make an amendment to your council plan during it’s annual review.

If there are members of your community who are keen on these kinds of activities, encourage them to make their own submissions to the council plan in support of community-led placemaking.

Budget – work with your Managers, Directors & Councillors to make provision in your budget for placemaking workshops and capital works funding for new sites.

Capital Works – have a chat to your relevent Director and ask if there is room in their recurring budget for the establishment for an initial site. If not, make sure they know that your community are lobbying to have it included in the upcoming budget.
